Thomas Metcalf Elementary School and University High School provide activities and experiences which contribute to the training of pre-student teachers, interns, student teachers, and other educational personnel. They also provide a setting for research and development activities, and offer comprehensive, high quality academic programs for students enrolled in the schools.
The laboratory schools are an administrative unit in the College of Education. As "Other State Funded Public Schools," the laboratory schools must comply with all State regulations and applicable sections of the School Code which govern public laboratory schools in the State of Illinois.
