University property is not to be used for any purpose other than official business and may not be borrowed or disposed of improperly. University property includes any property that is purchased with University funds, including but is not limited to hand and power tools, office equipment and technology, supplies of any kind, furniture, fixtures, surplus materials including scrap materials, waste products including garbage, etc.
Property such as, but not limited to offices, desks, file cabinets, lockers, vehicles, etc., are owned by the University and are primarily for official University business. Personal use of University property is not permitted. The University reserves the right to search such areas, and you should not expect privacy of any items, including personal items, stored there.
Property no longer needed may not be discarded and must be returned to property control and may not be used personally.
